Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to Inglewood! Nestled in where the Bow and Elbow Rivers meet, you’ll find one of Calgary’s oldest and most established neighborhoods. Kensington was once the original downtown making it a unique community with the perfect blend of new and old. The community is made up of both young working professionals that want the feeling of community while remaining close to downtown and life long neighbors that have been enjoying the community for decades.

Shopping, Restaurants & Nightlife in Inglewood
Dance your way down 9th Avenue SE, aka Music Mile, where live music reigns in Calgary. Located in the historic Gary Theatre, Ironwood Stage and Grill is one of Western Canada’s premier live country, folk and blues performance venues. Inglewood also has the Blues Can and the Calgary Folk Festival Hall.
Along with the best live music scene in the city Inglewood also offers some of the best dining in the city. Here you’ll find a smorgasbord of culinary options that will surely be able to satisfy any craving you may have. If you are in the mood for Mexican come and try Salt and Pepper and you won’t be disappointed, stop in at the Nash for breakfast or come around the evening for a cocktail and some jazz, check out Without Papers for some of the best Italian in the city and be sure to try the truffle pizza!
As good as the culinary scene is in Inglewood, it may have an even more impressive number of outstanding local microbreweries. In fact, Inglewood boasts some of the oldest craft breweries in Calgary and new one’s seem to keep popping up. My personal favorite is Cold Garden, an incredibly unique brewery where adults, pets and children can be found on a regular basis. This is almost one you need to try for yourself to see just how unique an experience it really is. Also, the beer is fantastic too!
